When strife hits, the longing for comfort and guidance is as old as time. Warmth, a fireplace, kindness, and patience are precious commodities in our fast-paced world.
I’ve certainly felt that, putting myself back together after many painful losses, under pressure from myself and others to feel better quicker and I’ve felt the kind of sorrow and vulnerability that only great care (and preferably a dog) can alleviate.
After three decades working as a psychologist, meeting many different souls along the way, it was the death of my mother that changed the direction of my work. Thrown once again into the pain of heartbreak, I decided to create a sanctuary which embodies the nurture and care we all need in our darkest hours. In 2021, myself and Ruth Field created The Heartbreak Hotel.
This space was created for you.
